Gadar 2 (Storyline)

Following the events of the previous film, Pakistan Army General Hamid Iqbal gets Ashraf Ali executed for aiding Tara Singh and his family in their escape from Pakistan. Iqbal wants to exact vengeance upon Tara for eliminating 40 soldiers during his escape.

1971: Tara is now a goods supplier to the army cantonment and lives with his wife Sakeena and son Charanjeet aka Jeete. One month after Jeete leaves for Chandigarh to study, Tara Singh is contacted by Lt. Colonel Devendra Rawat for help in supplying soldiers with weapons during a skirmish with the Pakistan soldiers.

Tara is spotted by Hamid Iqbal, who comes up with a plan and orders an explosion, which leads to soldiers and Tara Singh getting captured. Jeete returns to find Sakeena shambles upon learning about Tara’s disappearance.

Unable to bear seeing her like this, Jeete leaves for Pakistan against everyone’s wishes and meets Tara’s close friend Gul Khan, who helps him secure a job at Kurban Khan’s hotel which supplies food to the prison where Tara Singh and other Indian soldiers are supposedly held.

Jeete meets and gets close to Kurban’s daughter Muskaan, who continues to support him upon learning that Jeete came there to rescue his father. Jeete inflitrates the prison, only to get captured and discover that Tara was never captured. On the other hand, Tara reunites with Sakeena and reveals how he fell into a stream and was rescued by Bakarwals, but went into a coma.

Upon learning that Jeete is in Pakistan and his letters have stopped coming, Tara decides to head to Pakistan and extract Jeete. Landing in Pakistan, Tara Singh meets Gul Khan and learns about Jeete’s capture. Hamid Iqbal beats up Jeete and gets him publicly humiliated by falsely accusing him of assaulting Muskaan, who is forced to lie in order to protect her father. However, Tara arrives and escapes with Jeete after defeating Hamid Iqbal and his army.
